ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE:

NEW STUDENTS KINDER TO EIGHTH GRADE
 The following documents are required with the application form:

  • a recent 2 x 2 photograph (NO OTHER SIZE WILL BE ACCEPTED.)

  • Social Security number

  • birth , baptismal and Holy Communion (fourth thru eighth) certificates

  • proof of a current medical exam

  • updated original vaccination record (Form P-Vac-3)

  • record of payments on time in kindergarten

  • a pre-addressed, self-stamped 9x4 letter size envelope that will be used to mail information regarding the beginning of the school year.

KINDERGARTEN GRADE

 

  • Students interested in enrolling in the kindergarten grade must be at least five years old at the beginning of the school year.

  • Interview and placement test given at ASJ.

(Bring birth certificate to interview)

FIRST GRADE

Applicants must present, in addition, a professional evaluation containing the following information:

  • psychometric evaluation

  • test of visual motor skills

  • test of social and emotional maturity

  • readiness for academic work

  • questionnaire to be filled in by parents giving a brief history of the life of the child

 

SECOND TO EIGHTH GRADE
All students applying for admission from second to eighth grade must take the admissions test administered by CAREME of Puerto Rico no earlier than February in the year to which admission is requested.

 

The application form must include the following:

  • a Social Security number

  • a 2x2 recent photo (NO OTHER SIZE WILL BE ACCEPTED)

  • copies of the birth and baptismal certificates

  • proof of a recent and updated medical examination

  • an updated certificate of vaccinations (Form P-Vac-3)

  • a letter of recommendation from the school principal of the school being attended at the time of the application

  • an official transcript from the school being attended at the time of the application
    the grades must be passing grades and cover the first semester of the current grade

  • proof of payments on time to the school being attended at the time of the application

  • a 9X4 letter size self-addressed, stamped envelope to be used to mail the information concerning the opening of the school year

 

The school hours for all grades are:
Entrance - 7:45 a.m.
Dismissal - 2:15 p.m.

 

Parents are notified ahead of time of any change in the hours for entrance or dismissal.

 

On the first Friday of each month dismissal is at 12 Noon to allow for faculty meetings and workshops.
